Keyboard to Guitar

ten fingers, six strings, theory already paid for

A keyboard player learning guitar โ€” lean on what transfers (theory, ears, rhythm), respect what doesn't (everything the hands do), and get from first chords to whole songs.

A copy carries over only the public parts you see here โ€” the owners' private files never leave their own vaults.

๐Ÿšง Draft โ€” not final. This page was auto-generated as day-one scaffolding for the project and still needs a human pass before it reads as finished. The blanks and placeholders below are intentional โ€” someone who runs this project should fill them in and delete this notice.

Practice log

Guitar progress is inaudible day to day and obvious month to month โ€” which is exactly why it gets written down. One entry per session: what the hands did, what still catches, and the one song that's the reason to keep going. Short days count.

  • Mechanics (15 min) โ€” G to C changes, clean and slow. The C still needs a beat to land; the ring finger arrives late.
  • Fretboard as map โ€” found all the natural notes on the low E and A strings. The theory carried straight over: it's just intervals, and those I already hear.
  • The song โ€” the current slightly-too-hard one: worked the first line only, at half speed, until the chord change stopped stopping the song.

Hands report: fingertips sore but no callus yet โ€” normal, week one. Wrist fine. Next: add the D chord to the Gโ€“C drill; keep the song's first line, add the second.
