mahanu and the entropy warriors · chapters one–three

Everyone was right. The answer was still wrong.

A slide said the noon sun comes from the south. A boy's plastic ruler, on the wall that should have had no sun at all, said otherwise — every single morning. Only one kid looked twice. What she found was a whole town, quietly certain, that had stopped checking. This is where the myth begins: not with a hero, with a question nobody wanted asked.

The things that didn't add up

The whole story starts here. Flip a card — no answers on the back, only the next thing that made four kids unable to look away.

the whole thing

Read the story — three chapters

One week in June. A wrong slide, a dying garden, a locked study, a spark that shouldn't exist, and four kids who could not let it go. About 40 minutes across three chapters.

Comic page one — a boy on a too-big bicycle under rain trees in the 1980s, the same road today with glass towers and a yellow school bus, the narrator seen from behind-right looking through the bus's left window at parallel traffic, and a red-tiled bungalow being demolished.

Page one of thirty-one is drawn.

The same story, cut so a ten-year-old finishes it alone — art carries the scenery, dialogue carries the rest. Thirty-one pages across the same three chapters. This is the first one finished, and the page that settles how every page after it gets drawn.
